One of the great things about this time of year is that the first harvests are coming in and your farmer’s market is filling up with local produce. If you have a parrot or a reptile, this means a great savings on food for your pet. What can you buy?

I stepped outside today to thin my turnip plants. For an experiment one too-warm early April day, the little plants are doing quite well. Hope this inspires you to grow your own container garden for your pet!
